Sena bent on blocking Hyder's Jaipur show
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
MUMBAI, Sept 19: Uncertainty still prevails over the impending performance of Pakistani pop singer Ali Hyder at Jaipur next week, with the Shiv Sena refusing to budge from its decision to bar artistes from the neighbouring country from performing in India. ``Our policy on concerts by Pakistani artistes is very clear. So long as they do not stop their anti-India activities through the militants and the ISI, we shall not allow them to perform in our country,'' Sena leader Subhash Desai said.Desai said the decision of the Sena's Rajasthan unit to prevent Hyder from performing is in consonance with the party's policy. ``If they continue to kill innocent persons in the Kashmir valley, why should we welcome their artistes,'' Desai retorted.
