One of the handful forays by Fatima fetched them the goal. It was a stray ball which was picked up by Steve, who covered some ground and slotted it home.

Thereafter, for much of the game, St Stanislaus dominated the game but they never managed to score. They came very close to scoring in the first half when goalkeeper Nigel Kinny gathered close to the line. Then in the second half, Stanislaus even hit the post but it was not their day.

Fatima's defence and the midfield were workholic. The defence kept out the ball with zest and the midfield picked up scraps and relayed it upwards. Upfront, Steve, Charles Fernandes and Nandan Sawant worked hard but were unable to score any further goals even as they threatened everytime them surged upwards.

HiteshKanadade in central defence and Steve Pinto as a forward excelled for Fatima.
