Tamerlane conquers the hearts in Uzbekistan
Amir Timur, popularly known as Tamerlane is a new hero that Uzbekistan can claim as its own. He is the 14th-century tyrant whose nine-year rampage across Eurasia resulted in a bloodbath. Swadeshi Doordarshan goes mythological
The Union ministry of information and broadcasting's heavy hand is coming down in right earnest on Prasar Bharati. In a major policy reversal, the Ministry has asked Prasar Bharati to examine the case for more mythologicals and historicals in an effort to make Doordarshan more "swadeshi".
