Sept 21: Ramnarain Ruia, KC and MK Sanghvi entered the final knock-out round of the Mumbai University inter-college football tournament in contrasting styles at Priyadarshini Park today.While KC drubbed Mahatma 7-0, and Ruia scored a brace against ICL's one, MK Sanghvi scraped through with a 5-4 win over Mittal in the tie-breaker. Ruia and Sanghvi will meet tomorrow in the final knock-out round, for a place in the 16-team super league. KC will meet Siddharth Commerce in the final round.
The tie-break in the MK Sanghvi-Mittal tie was anti-climatic after the teams had scored thrice each in regulation time. Only two of five Sanghvi players converted their spot-kicks. Fortunately for them, only Mohandas Hegde converted for Mittal.
