Deputy Mayor accused of slapping woman
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, September 21: Residents of Model Town are up in arms against Deputy Mayor Mira Aggarwal for allegedly slapping a woman in their area. The incident reportedly took place during Aggarwal's inspection of C.C. Colony in Model Town at around 10 am today. Aggarwal could not be contacted for comment.Residents say that when they complained about choked sewers, Aggarwal said she could do not do anything. One of the residents, Vipin Kakkar, alleges that when some residents pointed out that a local BJP leader had done unauthorised construction on the `nullah' built for outflow of sewage, Aggarwal slapped her. The residents later filed a complaint against the Deputy Mayor. The police said that no case had been registered so far. Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
