NEW DELHI, September 21: Jatinder Handa was the cynosure of all eyes on Day One of the two-day India Cup International Judo Championship for under-18 at the Punjab University Gymnasium Hall at Chandigarh. It took the Hoshiarpur lad a combined effort of just two minutes, in three fights, to clinch the first gold for India (B), even as the Japanese judokas showed class, hardly going down in any of the fights and topping the day's tally with two gold medals.Suzuki Katsuya (81 kg) and Hotta Atsushi (73 kg) brushed aside the oppositions to assert their supremacy. Iran were in the second spot with a gold, silver and a bronze while India B were lying third with Handa's gold and 3 bronze. In fact, taking into account the silver and a bronze medal the India A side also wrapped up, the Indian tally indeed looks quite respectable. Results
