MLWB, Andheri held BPT to a 1-1 draw in the Chhatrapati Shivaji Division I-A League organised by MDFA and played at Xavier's Ground, Parel today. BPT, needing a win to qualify for the play-off, went into the lead in the second minute when a long clearance was misjudged by MLWB keeper George Dolrich. BPT restored parity in the 15th minute when Valentin Gonsalves converted a Charnel D'Souza pass.

Orlem road races

The Orlem Sports Council will be conducting the Limca sponsored 13th Annual Road Races at JBC Grounds, Malad (W) on Sunday, October 11, 1998 at 7.00 a.m.. The races will be held in following categories; men (12.5 kms), women (5 kms), boys u-20 (8 kms), boys u-14, girls u-17 & 14 (3kms), boys and girls u-12 (2kms).
