CHANDIGARH, Sept 25: To cater to the demands of the industry and the public, the Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO) has granted certain concessions in its credit and discount facilities, besides its liquor policy in two hotels.According to CITCO managing director Satish Chandra, public sector undertakings and limited companies having their head/branch offices in Chandigarh would now get a credit of three weeks, together with a discount of 10 per cent on room tariff. This facility can, however, be availed only if a certain minimum business is assured to CITCO.
CITCO has also amended its liquor policy, whereby guests have been allowed to bring and serve their own liquor for banquet parties, provided the parties are of a minimum of 20 persons in Hotel Shivalikview and 40 persons in Hotel Mountview. The guests would have to pay only corkage charges of Rs 175 per bottle from now on. Earlier, the guests were forced to buy liquor from CITCO for banquets.
CITCO has also decided to offer a complimentary vegetarian dish to guests availing large banquet business with parties of over 300 persons, and one complimentary vegetarian dish along with a complimentary snacks dish for such guests having parties of over 450 persons.
Besides, to make eating joints in Hotel Shivalikview more popular, Chandra said CITCO has decided to offer 20 per cent discount at Yangtse, a Chinese restaurant, during lunch hours and the same discount at Whisper Bar from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and at the Coffee Shop during lunch hours.
