CHANDIGARH, Sept 25: Guru Nanak Public School-36 and Shivalik Public School-41 will lock horns in the girls final while SD School-32 and DAV School-8 set up a title clash in the boys section in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Inter-School basketball under-18 tournament being played at SD-32 premises.In the first semifinal, GNP School- 36 blanked Shishu Niketan School-22, 22-0 while Shivalik Public School-41 got a walkover from DAV Model School-15. Avneet Kaur and Navjeet Kaur got 8 and 6 points respectively for GNP-36.
In the boys group, the hosts SD School-32 beat Shivalik Public School-41, 39-25. Suresh top scored with 30 points for SD School-32, who were leading by 18 points at the break (31-13). For SPS-41, Gurminder Pal Singh sunk 18 points. DAV School-8 scored a 46-12 victory over New Public School-18 to move into the final. Harjot led the DAV attack with 18 points.
Vikrant, Dipin shine
Vikrant Batra and Dipin Ahuja gave an excellent performance to help Manav Mangal School, Sector 11, Panchkula win the title in the under-19 boys section in the Panchkula District Inter-School table tennis tournament held at Panchkula today. Manav Mangal beat Army School, ChandiMandir 2-0.

Amrita Tiwana and Mukul Kumar shared honours in the two-day annual Punjab Engineering College, swimming competition.
