KARACHI, Sept 26: Australian cricketers are to be asked to appear before a Pakistani judicial commission probing match-fixing allegations during their last visit in 1994.Ali Sibtain Fazli, the Pakistan Cricket Board's lawyer, said today Australian team manager Steve Bernard would be requested to ``allow his players, particularly Mark Waugh,'' to appear before the next hearing of the commission on October 3.
``They are being asked to appear because the judicial commission has decided to re-open the Salim Malik case,'' he said.
Meanwhile, Australian bowlers had a good work out before next week's first Test, leaving Karachi struggling to save the follow-on at the close on the second day of a four-day match today.
Aamir Sohail, who came out to bat at number seven, was not out 11, partnered by Faisal Iqbal, nephew of Javed Miandad, on 20.
