Convent looted, nuns beaten up, says AICU
The All India Catholic Union (AICU) has claimed that armed gangsters looted a convent and beat up nuns in Baghpat, 50 km from Delhi, on Thursday.The incident occurred at the Yesu Christ Convent and school run by the Franciscan Clarist nuns, the AICU said, adding the chapel was desecrated and the cross torn out of the wall.

Edited tapes of Tripp-Lewinsky talks gets nod from the House
A US House of Representatives committee has voted to release a heavily edited version of the tape-recordings of Linda Tripp's conversations with Monica Lewinsky, which sparked an impeachment investigation of President Bill Clinton. The committee voted 35-0 on Friday to remove large sections of the tapes involving privacy considerations and other sensitive material.

Harkat ultras nabbed in Delhi, RDX seized
The Delhi police on Thursday arrested three persons, alleged to be terrorists belonging to the Harkat-ul-Ansar outfit, and recovered two kg of RDX and PETN (the raw form of RDX) from them. With the arrest of Abdul Gafoor, Suhail and Tasleem, the police say they have prevented major blasts in and around Delhi.
