Watchman shot dead in Malad A watchman of a co-operative housing society was shot dead by an unidentified gunman at Malad (west) this evening. Watchman Dashrat Tiwari was on active duty at Rajendra Vihar near Evershine Nagar around 3.30 pm when a person accosted him and opened fire from close range. The assailant quickly disappeared from the scene before neighbours could rush to nab him.Tiwari, who was hit in the stomach, was rushed to Bhagwati Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead before admission. According to the police preliminary investigation suggested the assailant fired a single round at the victim. The police suspect that the killing could a fall-out of previous enmity. Hunt on for youth's killers The Dombivli police in Thane are in search of two persons who had killed a youth and found transporting the body to a remote place for disposal. Police today said that the patrolling party of the Dombivli police station spotted two persons in a Tata Sumo jeep and athird person whose hands and legs were tied up early on Friday. When the police followed the jeep the duo abandoned the jeep near the Ramchandra Nagar and fled.
