MUMBAI, Sept 27: Ashish Gupta of St Stanislaus moved into the boys u-14 semi-final of the Inter-Schools Table Tennis Tournament.In the quarter-finals played today at the University Pavilion, Gupta overcame a strong challenge by AVM's (Bandra) Shivam Nayak. After going down 18-21 in the first game, Gupta rallied back in contention, winning the next two 21-14, 21-18.
NRP Seth student, Milap Shah's winning march came to an end when he lost to Balmohan's Vaibhav Rane, 21-11, 21-9, in the boys u-16 quarter-final.
Campion, Don Bosco (Matunga), Utpal Sanghvi and Cathedral & John Connon were the schools to move into the team semi-finals.
