Two succumb to electrocution
Two Mukherjee Nagar residents Suraj Bhan (50) and his brother Jagdish (45) reportedly succumbed to electrocution this morning.

The accident occurred when the two rushed in the aid of their nephew Anil (22) who had come in contact with a live electricity wire just as he stepped out of his Dhirpur residence. The two died on the spot. Anil sustained burns in the process and taken to a local hospital for an examination. The police has registered a case.

NDMC demolitions at Tolstoy Marg
The NDMC reportedly demolished 18 unauthorised constructions in the third basement of Prakah Deep Building at Tolstoy Marg today. The demolition took place after the NDMC issued notices to all the 18 occupants, who misused the premises for office purpose whereas it was meant for storage purposes only.

Consumer guidance fair inaugurated
The union minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Food and Consumer Affairs Surjit Singh Barnala, today inaugurated a consumer guidance mela in Adarsh Public school. The mela is being organised by the school in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Delhi Westend. Poster making competition and a slogan writing contest was organised for students of various schools on this occasion. The mela was attended by a large number of people. It is aimed at creating awareness among the consumers about their rights and duties.

Free glaucoma camps for dropsy victims
Pharmacia and Upjohn India Private Limited is organising a free glaucoma screening camps for patients affected by dropsy in the Capital. P&U has selected Najafgarh and Pahargunj as the venue for their camps. The free screenings will be held on September 28 & 29. In Pahargunj the place for holding the camp has been given by the local Lions Club.
