PUNE, Sept 27: The heroics of opener Azim Golandaz (J.N Petit) fell flat on his face, while Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya's Samrat Ravate proved a match-winner as their respective teams had mixed-luck in the MCA Fram Irani (Under-15) Inter-school cricket tournament here today.Opener Azim's 103 went in vain as his team fell short of the 202-run first innings total posted by their opponents Katariya High School due to the untimely rains, to end up with 152 for 5. The unplayable conditions that prevailed saw the match end in a tame-draw.
Katariya batting first scored their runs via the efforts of Sameer Dhumke (61) and Nachiket Pingle (74). In other match, Samrat Ravate finished with match-figures of 10/31 to help his team score a first innings win over Vikhe Patil H S.
Katariya H.S: 202 (Sameer Dhumke 61, Nachiket Pingle 44, Piran Gandhi 3/36, Pratap Panwar 3/27) drew with J.N Petit H.S: 152 for 4 (Azim Golandaz 103, Sagar Gosavi 2/32).
Result: Match drawn.
Gyanba Moze H.S: 69 (Sameer Palve 5/6) & II Innings): 62 (Sameer Palve 4/25, Zaheer Bagwan 2/4) lost to MES Boys H.S: 148 for 9 (Siddharth Bhosale 37, Zahir Bagwan 32, Girish Chandrate 4/29).
Result: MES won by an innings an 27 runs.
