MUMBAI, Sept 28: Central Reserve Police Force and Punjab Police entered the water-polo final in the 47th All-India Police Aquatic and Cross Country Games here.CRPF beat the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) 9-8 while the Punjab Police beat Border Security Force 7-6 two absorbing semifinals today.
Gojan Singh of BSF won the four km cross country clocking 12:13:00 minutes.
BSF-runners Madan Singh and Jiji Thomas completed a clean sweep for BSF in the event of breasting the tape in second and third place respectively.
The team championship in the cross country event was also won by BSF by scoring 14 points followed by Punjab Police and CISF at second and third places.
In the swimming events the BSF swimmers won the 50 meters backstroke and 200 meters butterfly events last evening. J Abhijit of BSF won the 50 meters back stroke in 29.38 seconds. S H Hakimuddin, also BSF won the 200 meters butterfly event in 2:13.23 minutes
In the 200 meters free style swimming event, Kailash Nath of CRPF wonthe event in a new meet record of 2:00.80 minutes.
