In the DAV-GNP tie, the former shot into the lead in the opening minute of the game when Kalarjit scored the first of his two goals. Five minutes later Dinesh dribbled past two defenders to put the ball across goalkeeper Jasneet.

The GNP defence line crumbled again in the later part of the first half. Kalarjit, who got a through pass inside the box in the 25th minute made no mistake. Just before the break Dinesh made it 4-0.

After the change of ends, Harish got the fifth goal for DAV School when his close range entered the net. Unmarked Dinesh scored his third and team's sixth goal from the top of the box in the 10th minute of the second session (6-0). Barely into the first 15 minutes of the second half and down by six goals to nil, GNP conceded the match.

In the second semifinal, Sandeep scored in the 15th minute to give SD School-32 a 1-0 lead. In the second session Jatinder consolidated the margin (2-0) and Ankur made it 3-0 in the dying minutes of the game.

In volleyball, DAV School-8 scored a 15-0, 15-3 win over Laureate Public School, Shimla, to set up a title clash with Guru Nanak Senior Secondary School-30.

Earlier, in the quarter-finals, DAV-8 beat Sharda Sarvitkari School-40 while Shardha Sarvitkari-40 defeated DAV Public School, Shimla, 15-5, 15-8.
