BKKP, RLD merge to revive Lok Dal
Ajit Singh's Bharatiya Kisan Kamgar Party (BKKP) and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) have merged into the Lok Dal. Singh has been elected president of the revived Lok Dal (LD) at the national council and general body meet of the parties which formalised the merger.
BJP may have the last word on Bihar
The BJP continued its offensive on the Bihar issue yesterday with Union home minister L K Advani calling on President K R Narayanan to justify the Government's recommendation for Rabri Devi's dismissal.
Cong MPs to seek separate Vidarbha state
Congress Members of Parliament from the Vidarbha region have decided to jointly give a call for creation of separate Vidarbha state. The call will be given in presence of the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sharad Pawar, at Wardha on October 2.
