Maharashtra signs MoU with US energy firms
The Maharashtra government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with two major American energy multinationals, Enron Corporation and Universal Electricals for the upgradation and modernisation of gas-based Uran and Nasik and Bhuvsal Karodi thermal power projects.

Shell, Nocil reach pact finally
After intense speculation and tortuous negotiations, National Organic Chemicals Ltd (NOCIL) on Wednesday announced its restructuring plan and alliance with Dutch giant Shell Chemicals and its 100% subsidiary Montell for a new petrochemical project with an investment of over Rs 4,200 crore.

UTI hikes US-64 prices to boost investor confidence
Unit Trust of India (UTI), the largest mutual fund in the country, has increased the sale and repurchase prices of its flagship scheme US-64 by 15 paise in a bid to shore up the confidence of investors.
