MUMBAI, OCT 1: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shifted the Duleep Trophy semi-final between Central Zone and winners of the South versus North quarter-final from Ahmedabad to Valsad.The other semi-final, also to be played concurrently from December 9-13, would be held at Rajkot as scheduled.
The quarter-final between South and North is to be held at the Wankhede Stadium here from December 1-5 and the final is slated from December 17-21 at Pune's Nehru Stadium.
The Duleep semi-final was shifted from Ahmedabad to Valsad at the request of the Valsad District Association which is affiliated to the Ahmedabad-based Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA), according to BCCI secretary Jaywant Lele.
The change in venue has also enabled the Board to allot the second one-day international between the touring West Indies A team and their Indian counterparts to GCA Stadium at Motera on December 13.
The match is sandwiched between the first and the third ODIs which are to be held on December 11(at Hyderabad) and December 15 (at Mumbai) respectively.
Windies A are also to play two four-day Tests at Bangalore (November 28-December 1) and Chennai (December 4-7), besides two other three-day side matches at Mumbai (November 18-20), Pune (November 23-25) and a practice one-day clash at Hyderabad (December 9) on their month-long tour.
