MUMBAI, OCT 2: Manjrekar XI were 178 for seven in the second innings at the draw of stumps on the second day of the 12th Sportstar Trophy Mumbai Cricket Association under-19 cricket selection trial tournament against Dattu Phadkar XI.Manjrekar XI thus earned an overall lead of 158 runs with three wickets in hand at the Elf-Vengsarkar Cricket Academy today.
In the morning, Phadkar XI resumed their first innings at 107 for five with Sameer Gawas and Nilesh Gawas in the middle. They could manage a lead of just 20 runs. Off-spinner Darshan Panchal, who had captured four wickets on Thursday, picked up two more to finish with six for 52 runs.
Ashutosh Narkar lead the charge for Manjrekar XI with 55 (86b, 6x4) and added 80 runs for the second wicket with captain Sushant Manjrekar (81: 10x4).
Off-spinner Viraj Pai, who took five wickets in the first wickets in the first innings, picked up three more to take his tally to eight in the match.
