October 2: Mobilink defeated Royal Club 3-0 in the MDFA-conducted Division III-B football league at the St Xavier's ground, Parel, today.After being held goalless in the first-half, Mobilink scored through Cosmos Fernandes and Brian Martis (2).Cecelian beat MLWB (Naigaum) 2-1 in a Division III-A clash. MLWB took the lead in the first-half through Prashant Dhumale. On resumption, Agnelo Lobo scored both the goals for Cecilian.
Lazio struck it rich in the second session half after a goalless first-half. They beat Jyoti Dadar Boys 6-0 in a Division III-B tie. The hero of the match was Samu Jadhav who scored four goals. Avlon Cladius and Ryan Gibbs were the other goal-getters.
In Division I-A, Adarsh failed to turn up against Jai Ambe.
