In the meeting, attended by AIFF president Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi, vice-president Ashok Ghosh, national coach Syed Nayemuddin and former coach PK Banerjee, it was decided that the president will discuss the programme plans for the team's participation, with the Indian Olympic Association at New Delhi on Tuesday. The president will also take up the matter with the government. This will be subject to the team receiving clearance for the Games.

The meeting also decided to appoint an assistant coach, a physiotherapist and a physical trainer for the Indian team. Along with the chief coach Nayeemuddin, the three will be part of the technical committee for the Asian Games' team.

After repeated postponements, the AIFF once again plans to hold afitness camp for 32 Asian Games probables. The venue, this time, will be Darjeeling, the high altitude tourist station in Himalayan West Bengal. The camp will begin from October 12. Later, more camps will be planned at various Sports Authority of India centres. The number of probables in the second camp will be pruned down to 25.

The final team will then be prepared for the Asian Games and the selected players will not be allowed to participate in any domestic tournaments till the completion of the Games. The entire plans of the AIFF will materialise only if the team is cleared for participation in the Games.
