PM to meet Akali leaders
Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee will meet Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and SGPC chief Gurcharan Singh Tohra on October 7 to sort out the crisis arising out of the BJP-led Government's decision to include Udham Singh Nagar district in the proposed state of Uttaranchal.
BJP resolves to hit back at Laloo with Vananchal
In what is being seen in political circles as a part of the BJP exercise to recoup image after the Article 356 fiasco, a meeting of BJP state executive and office-bearers of the BJP Bihar unit in Patna resolved to hit back at Laloo on the achilles heel, his Vananchal retraction.
