Man ends life in city
One Santosh Omkar Tiwari, a 45-year-old resident of Aaspasnagar of Limbayat, committed suicide on Tuesday due to unidentified reasons, the Limbayat police said. According to the police, Tiwari committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of his house at 6 am on Tuesday. The police are trying to ascertain the reason behind the extreme step and have registered a case under CrPC 174 in the police station.

Dead
A middle-aged-man, who was found in an unconscious state at around midnight on Monday, died on being admitted to the New Civil hospital of the city, the Rander police said. The 45-year-old man was found beside Shantinagar Society, Joganinagar in Rander area, the police added. The police have registered a case and sent the body for scientific examination.

Drowned
One Rambhai Kalvabhai Patel, 20, a youth of Gunsavel village of Mahuva taluka of the district died on Monday after he drowned in a creek, the Mahuva police of the district said. Patel, according to the police, had gone for drinking water in the Volan creek on the outskirts of the village, where he slipped and fell into it. A case has been registered at the Mahuva police station.

Assaulted
Following an argument, a youth assaulted another with a broken soda bottle, causing injuries to his ear and face, according to a case registered at the Mahidharpura police station on Tuesday. Ravi Baniya, working as a food-vendor was assaulted by one Javedali Mohammedali over a minor issue, the police said. The Mahidharpura police have registered a case of rioting and are investigating.
