Food minister, CM issue conflicting statements on labs

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, October 6: Food Minister Poornima Sethi has rejected the oil traders' demand for any change in the order on adulteration tests.

The traders had asked for more laboratories on the ground that the oil manufacturers from outside Delhi would not bother to test their oil in the certified four Delhi labs and would just stop supply.

However, CM Sahib Singh Verma said: ``The shortage of edible oil in the Capital will be resolved by tomorrow. The government is sanctioning 20 more testing facilities to check the quality of oil being sold''.
