MUMBAI, October 10: Congress MP Gurudas Kamat has sought Governor PC Alexander's nod to initiate criminal proceedings against Dy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Barve and Kherwadi Police Station senior inspector SR Sonawane, for lodging false complaints against him during the last Lok Sabha polls. Alexander, in reply, informed Kamat he has received a communication regarding a case registered against him (Kamat) for filing nomination papers with a local group playing band outside the centre. ``I am having the matter looked into,'' Alexander said in a letter to Kamat. In a memorandum, Kamat submitted that not only has a false case been registered against him at Kherwadi police station, local officials were also harassing Congress workers at the instance of a senior leader of the ruling Sena-BJP alliance.
