BHUBANESWAR, Oct 12: In a significant development the copy of the much debated affidavit containing serious allegations against Chief Minister JB Patnaik, involving the wife of a former chief of a state undertaking, was submitted before the sub-divisional judicial magistrate here today by the notary public.Madhu Madhab Jena who claimed that Jayadev Panda, former chief of a state corporation who belongs to the Congress party, had sworn the affidavit before him, submitted the copy of the affidavit before sub divisional judicial magistrate AK Mishra.
The issue had then taken a new turn as Panda had denied that neither he knew the public notary nor he had sworn any affidavit before him and threatened to sue two language dailies who had published the contents of the affidavit. The public notary, who had been accused of forgery after Panda filed an FIR before the police, was also today released on bail by the SDJM on a bond of Rs 5,000 .
