CHANDIGARH, Oct 12: Gurdip Singh Sandhu was unanimously elected president of the Amateur Athletic Association, Chandigarh in the general body meeting conducted today by AAAC secretary, Shangra Singh, who himself was unanimously re-elected for another term of four year's.DS Bedi, principal, Shivalik Public School-41 was nominated as chief patron, according to a press release `Flying Sikh' Milkha Singh was nominated as patron-in-chief of the AAAC.
The other office bearers of the AAAC are -- Devinder Singh Thakur and RC Jeevan (senior vice-presidents); Sneh Mahajan, PS Sangha, Neena Puri, Naresh Thakur, Chetan Singh and Arjan Singh (vice-presidents); SK Joshi (treasurer); Bharat Mitter and Jarnail Singh (joint secretaries).
Meanwhile, Milkha Singh, president of AAAC will be holding elections tomorrow at Hari Ram Hostel, DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8.
