BILASPUR, Oct 13: Three students were arrested on charges of ragging after a freshman student recently made an attempted suicide in Guru Ghasidas University of Bilaspur district.According to police, Pramod Rathore, a student of Bach (pharmacy) was under severe mental pressure because of being constantly tormented by three senior colleagues of Vivekanand Hostel.
However driven by sheer frustration, Rathore consumed poison and made an unsuccessful bid to end his life.
The police have recovered a letter from Rathore mentioning ragging to be the underlying reason behind his suicide attempt.
