MUMBAI, OCT 13: A lone goal by Pascol Koli turned out to be the match-winner for Bandra Packers against Holy Family in the MDFA-conducted Harwood football league at the St Xavier's ground, Parel, today.Bandra Packers began in whirlwind fashion but as the game progressed, Holy Family came more into the picture.
But the forwards let Holy Family down with some wayward shooting. The two were level 0-0 at half-time.
Koli beat the off-side trap in the second session and scored from the top of the box, giving no chance whatsoever for Holy Family goalkeeper Augustin D'Silva to effect a save.
Earlier, Borivli Rangers gained promotion to the First Division when they trounced Cafe Royal 5-1 in the Second Division semi-finals. They now meet Fatima Beach Boys, who also gained promotion, by making the final.
William Soares (3), Collin Miranda and Prassana Khadapkar scored for Borivli Rangers. Manuel Fernanndes reduced the margin.
In Division III-A, Classic beat Jyoti Dadar Boys 3-0. Naeem Ansari, TariqueShaikh and Musaddique Shaikh were the scorers.

Joseph's A champs
St Joseph's A defeated St Roque 3-0 in the final of the Our Lady of Lourdes (Kalyan) Rink football tournament. Raju (2) and Saby were the goal-getters.In the match for third place, Masoba Maidan bt Rambaug 3-0. Rosario Antao, Kelvin D'Souza and Agnelo Miranda scored.
Ghadially dazzles
Mumbai beat Calcutta by seven wickets to storm into the semi-finals of the All-India Burhani Shield cricket tournament for the Bohra community at the Parsi Gymkhana, today.
Winning the toss and putting Calcutta in to bat, Mumbai skittled out the visitors for 108 from 29 overs and then surpassed the target for the fall of three wickets from 26.2 overs.
The toast of Mumbai's performance was man-of-the-match Mazhar M Ghadially, who took two wickets, pouched two catches and then slammed 41 from just 25 balls.
