NEW DELHI, October 13: A sub-divisional Magistrate was reportedly drugged then robbed by an unidentified woman while he was on his way to Delhi from Chandigarh on a Haryana Roadways bus on October 9. She reportedly made off with his wallet containing Rs 2,500, a diamond ring, a gold chain and his watch.In his statement, SDM (Chandigarh) Ashish Kundra said he boarded the bus around 10.30 p.m.. He recalls that there were two women, one in her 20s and another in her mid-40s, seated near him. He said the two at first shifted to other seats, but the older woman again took her place next to him.
She claimed to be from Chandigarh and started a conversation with him. She then reportedly offered him wafers and a cup of tea.
Kundra said the tea and the food made him drowsy. The police later said they believed the tea had been laced with drugs.
When Kundra awoke, he found himself at the ISBT in the Capital. He said he managed to get back home to Moti Bagh. Kundra's father took him to AIIMS.
