Both the teams played a goalless draw in the regulation period. Even a tie-breaker (2-2) failed to break the deadlock between the teams.

In sudden death, both the teams had equal score after the 10th penalty shot (6-6). However, Abhishek converted the eleventh spot kick for SD while DAV's Vijay Pal shot over the bar (7-6).

Earlier, in the regulation period, SD lads dominated the first half of the game and came twice near scoring. But the all important goal remained elusive. Just before the end of the first half, DAV's Kalarjit failed to put his team ahead.
