Pu Thi Na dead

BANGALORE, Oct 14: Noted Kannada litterateur Dr Purohita Thirunarayana Iyengar (Pu Thi Na) died at around 7.30 pm in his residence in Jayanagar, Bangalore on Tuesday. He was 93 and is survived by his wife, a son and six daughters.Pu Thi Na was recipient of Padmashree, Pampa and Nadoja Awards. He wrote numerous plays and musicals as well. Srihari Charite and Gokula Nirgamana brought him fame. His other prominent works include Hanate, Irulumeragu, Ganesha Darshana, Maleya Degula, Mandaliru and Rasa Saraswati.
