Paes, Bhupathi out in first round
The Indian challenge in the singles event of $700,000 Heineken Singapore Open tennis tournament ended with both Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi losing in the first round yesterday. Paes lost 7-5 6-1 to Czech Martin Damm while Bhupathi went down 6-1 6-3 to sixth seed Mikael Tillstrom of Sweden.
