October 15: India thrashed Vietnam 3-0 in the league match of 27th Asian School Football Championship being played in Cheju (Korea). According to information received here, the Indian lads went on the offensive from the start. The forwards repeatedly raided the rivals' territory.In the fifth minute Duleswar sent a cross to Tridip, who took a powerful header but the ball struck the post. In the 16th minute Duleswer dribbled past two defenders and was about to shoot from within the penalty area but a Vietanami defender tackled illegally him from behind, resulting in a penalty. Duleswar Rabha converted it into to give the Indians the lead.
After the lemon break, Indian lads mounted more pressure and started playing at a fast pace. In the 60th minute Lanunzira Josep sent a through pass to Duleswar Rabha who scored the second goal for India with a solo effort. The Indian lads increased the pressure. In the 75th minute coach I P Nagi sent in Manmeet in place of Padum Rabha. In the 81st minute Mukand Yadav senta through pass to right winger Manmeet, who after dribbling one defender made no mistake to send the ball into the goal.
There is the second victory for India in the champoinship. In the other matches, China beat Brunei 3-1, while Thailand mauled Malaysia 10-1.
