Addressed by Commandant, EME School, Major General M C Sebastin, the Sammelan was attended by all officers, junior commissioned officers and jawans of the EME school. The event started of with the message from Lieutenant General M R Kochhar, PVSM, AVSM, Director General of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers read out by the Adjutant, EME School. Major General Sebastin conveyed his well wishes and greetings to all EME personnel on the occasion.

The Commandant's banner was brought in by a ceremonial parade during the Sammelan. The banner was presented by the Commandant to the Faculty of Vehicle Technology for the Best Faculty of the year.

The 18 carat, Brigadier R B Nayar Gold Medal was awarded to Havildar Nipamacha Singh for the Best Sportsman of the Corps for the year. Best Instructor awards were also presented to six instructors from various faculties.

A Civilian Sammelam was also held attended by all civilian employees of EME School. The Commandant's Cash Award was also presented to civilian employees for carrying out their duties with dedication and hard work.
