Handball trials
Inclement weather conditions forced the organisers of the Chandigarh junior and sub-junior handball championship to postpone the meet which was slated to begin today at DAV School-8. According to an official of the Chandigarh Handball Association, new dates would be announced later.

Meanwhile, trials to select Chandigarh boys under-19 team for the forthcoming nationals to be held at Rohtak from October 25 will be held on October 21 at 4 p.m, at DAV-8.

Taekwondo camp
Nine taekwondo players were awarded colour belts in the Taekwondo Training camp-cum-colour Belt Test held recently at SAS Nagar under the aegis of Taekwondo Academy of Punjab.

The players are: Dilbar Singh, Dinesh Arora, Anuradha Sharma, Gurpreet kaur, Devinderjit Singh, Simranjit Singh Mann, Deepinder Singh Bedi, Aklesh Singh and Harshit Gupta.

Karate trials
Trials to select Chandigarh senior (men and women) team for the national karate championship to be held at Ahmedabad from November 10 to 13 will be held at MDAV School-22 on October 25 at 8 a.m.
