Buy-back will breed manipulation: Gupta
The Government should not allow companies to buy back their shares as it will provide greater opportunity for stock price manipulation, derivatives committee chairman L C Gupta has said. He further maintained that Introduction of buy-back is unlikely to improve the stock market climate.

Inflation dips to 8.22 per cent
Annual rate of inflation fell sharply by 0.47 percentage points to 8.22% during the week ended October 3, despite a surge in prices of food articles, especially vegetables.
