NEW DELHI, October 20: The body of a garment export unit owner in Gurgaon, K.R. Nayar, was found next to his Toyota car near the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association complex in Hauz Khas on Monday morning.The Hauz Khas police say the body bore two stab wounds in the neck and the back of the head had been slit open. The victim's cellphone, car keys and purse were missing. The police believe that Nayar had been with a friend in the Safdarjung Enclave area.
According to Nayar's family, he had left home on the eve of Diwali with packets of sweets in his car. Nayar had apparently planned to visit a number of his friends. However, he never came back home on Sunday night. Nayar's body was found by the police last morning. The postmortem examination was completed this evening and the body was handed over to his family.
A case of murder has been registered at the Hauz Khas police station. Investigations reveal that personal enemity could be the possible motive of the brutal murder. The assailant could have taken the keys and purse with him to mislead the investigators by making it appear to be a case of robbery.
Man stabbed
A 45-year-old employee of an exports house was stabbed in the Keshavpuram police station area last night. Bal Bahadur, was apparently stabbed after an altercation with Amar Bahadur, who has since been arrested. The victim died before he reached Hindu Rao Hospital.
