Sahib falls in line, will get berth after polls
Former Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma abandoned his rebellious tone yesterday and meekly accepted the Prime Minister's offer to join the Union Cabinet ``after the elections on November 25.''

Congress, BJP yet to finalise candidates for MP by-polls
The ruling Congress and the opposition BJP are yet to finalise candidates for the November 25 Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. Unlike the plethora of political parties which mark the political scene in other Hindi speaking states, there is almost a two-party system in Madhya Pradesh.

Patel rules out seeking confidence vote in JDLP
Karnataka Chief Minister J H Patel has ruled out seeking confidence vote in the Janata Dal Legislature Party (JDLP) saying that it was not the proper forum to prove the strength of a Chief Minister. Deve Gowda, however, said it was the prerogative of the JDLP to decide the leadership issue.
