CHANDIGARH, Oct 22: Orders concerning revised rates of pension for personnel below officer rank have been received today at the Defence Pension Disbursing Office in Chandigarh as well as the states of Punjab and Haryana.The orders, issued on July 14 after the recommendations of the Fifth Pay Commission, are applicable to ex-servicemen pensioners and family pensioners of all three wings of the Armed Forces.
All pensioners in the above mentioned category who retired prior to January 1, 1986 and family pensioners who retired prior to January 1, 1996 can contact their respective pension disbursing offices from October 26 to get their dues released.
