Man attempts suicide due to poverty

PUNE, Oct 22: Ashok T Kevle, a 36-year-old shoe-maker residing in Padmavati area, tried to commit suicide allegedly because of his poverty. Kevle, who set himself afire at Suvarnayug Chowk in Padmavati area, has been admitted to the Sassoon Hospital.The shoe-maker, in his statement recorded by the Sahakarnagar police, said that he took the drastic action because he found it difficult to meet both ends due to poverty, police said.
