NEW DELHI, October 23: A grueling CBI interrogation or a major political crisis notwithstanding, Laloo Prasad Yadav is always at his witty best.Even today, while addressing a Rashtriya Loktantrik Morcha rally here, he repeatedly regaled the crowd with his rustic humour.
Obviously referring to CBI queries about the saloon where he had his hair dressed, he described his hair style as ``katora (bowl) cut'' which does not need a comb and requires trimming only after six months.
On the investigating agency's query regarding the agency which supplied him cooking gas, the former Bihar CM said ``our food is cooked on cow dung cake or on firewood''.
Yadav, who was also asked by the CBI about the visit to Patna by cine star Mamata Kulkarni, said ``she is like our daughter''.
Incidentally, just as he began to speak, a nearby mosque sounded out the call for namaaz. As a mark of respect, Yadav then stood in silence till it concluded before resuming.
The RJD president, who was in a hurry to make it for the evening flight to Patna, was rather apologetic when he explained to the people why he was taking a flight.
``Mujhko Patna jana hai. Kuch jaroori kaam hai. Mujhko kaha gaya hai ki hawai jahaz sey ana hai. Nahin to mey rickshaw sey hi jata (I was asked to reach Patna for some important errand, otherwise I'd have taken a rickshaw only),'' he said. Yadav had recently insisted on taking a rickshaw to reach the CBI office in Patna for the interrogation on October 21 regarding the fodder scam.
