Two bodies found in Dabri

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, Oct 23: Two bodies with multiple stab and gunshot wounds were recovered in the Rajapuri area of Dabri late Friday night. The bodies of Arvind Pal (24) and Rajesh (23) were found in a pool of blood by the police when they reached the spot following a call at around 9.15 p.m. Both the men were rushed to Safdarjung hospital, where they were declared brought dead.

According to the police, Arvind Pal's family was at home watching television when they were informed that their son had been shot dead outside the shop of Swati property dealers. Preliminary investigations indicate that there was a power cut in the area from 8 p.m. and the bodies were discovered only when electricity was restored around 9.15 p.m. No residents have yet come forward to attest that they heard gunshots.

Onlookers nab 3 pick-pockets
Three pick-pockets were nabbed by alert onlookers trying to escape after stabbing and robbing a person of Rs 250 at Masjid Moth. Security guards Pavan Kumar and Mukhtiar were returning from the Masjid Moth market when Pavan felt a man pick his pocket. Even as he resisted, three other men appeared and stabbed him twice. Following Mukhtiar's alarm, some people standing nearby caught hold of the three attackers. The fourth one, however, escaped.

Head constable killed in accident
A head constable was killed this morning when an autorickshaw rammed into him near the Nizamuddin Railway station. Surender Kumar was killed when he was trying to persuade the autorickshaws waiting for passengers at the railway station stand in a row. It happened when one of the autorickshaws driven by Shabbir, a resident of Paharganj, broke the queue and was trying to overtake the three-wheelers standing ahead of him.
