MUMBAI, October 25: The government will not take any hurried decision with regard to allowing cent per cent foreign equity participation in the information and broadcasting sector, including electronic and print media, said Union Minister of State Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today.Naqvi, who was in Mumbai on a two-day visit, said since the issue was directly linked to national interest in terms of culture and ethos, the government would observe utmost caution and wouldn't allow them to be polluted. ``We are not in a haste, and will not take any decision at the cost of national interest,'' he asserted.
He said his ministry has embarked on a series of measures to strengthen various departments and organisations under it.
