Symposium on coronary disease The South Asian Society of Atherosclerosis and Thrombosis (SASAT) has organised a one-day symposium on October 27 on coronary artery diseases at the Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, Bandra. Workers from the United Kingdom and USA will participate in the meet. The symposium will also discuss the highest incidence of coronary artery diseases among all ethnic groups in the world.IIT sets up infotech school The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai, has established a School of Information Technology (SIT), which will focus on teaching, research and consultancy work at the high-end of the information technology spectrum. An M Tech programme in information technology as well as a post-graduate diploma of one year duration are being offered.
