CHANIDGARH, Oct 25: Sanjay Sabharwal's unbeatan knock of 33 runs which came off 22 balls and fine spell by Vineet Jain (3 for 13) enabled Godrej Cricket Club to score five wickets win over PGI XI in the 22nd JAL Cup league cricket tournament being played at PGI.Godrej CC got the winning total in the 21st over for the loss of five wickets. Apart from Sanjay (33 n.o.), Yuvraj Singh (26) and Arun Tuli (24) also contributed to the team's total of 116 runs. Rakesh Jolly got three wickets.
Earlier, Godrej CC won the toss and elected to field. Vineet Jain and Girish Bhanot superb bowling restricted PGI XI batsmen. Rakesh Jolly's 54 runs however, came to a naught as the team got 115 runs in the stipulated 25 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.
In another match, JAL XI beat CNS XI by two wickets.
