Thane district co-op bank chairperson elected
UNITED NEWS OF INDIA
MUMBAI, October 27: Vasant Yeshwant Bhoir, a Congress nominee, was elected chairperson of the Thane district Central Cooperative Bank today. Bhoir, an agricultural science graduate from Wada taluka of the district, represents various agricultural cooperative societies. He defeated Balaram Kanha Patil from the Thane District Agricultural Society. Bhoir polled 21 votes, while Patil could muster only three votes. Three votes were declared invalid. A total of 27 directors participated in the election, which was presided over by sub-divisional officer B B Thackeray.
