Ragpicker crushed to death with boulder

MUMBAI, Oct 28: Mohammed Tanvir alias Tanna, a rag picker, was found with his skull broken near Hingwalla Lane, Ghatkopar (east) at around 2.45 today. He was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital. The doctors however declared him dead before admission.Tanvir lived on the pavement along Upadhya Lane near Jaswantrai Mehta garden nearby. According to the police prima facie evidence suggested a boulder was used in the killing. However, senior inspector Ramesh Vairagal attached to Pant Nagar police, under whose jurisdiction the murder took place, has ruled out the involvement of a serial killer.
